Why are Louis Vuitton handbags expensive? Because of the brand or materials?

I need to get a new designer purse for the end of summer and fall. i'm not getting it RIGHT now, but i'm picking it out and getting it in august maybe? anything like juicy couture, coach, dooney and bourke. nothing major expensive like chanel or burberry though! i like big purses and smaller ppurses so anything. just help me pick something out (:

Designer handbags are my vice. (Well, one of them at least). Right now, however, I'm trying to save money for my wedding so I don't want to blow over 00 on one handbag.
